Treasures of Xandar is a gift shop located in the Wonders of Xandar pavilion at Epcot

History[edit]

Treasures of Xandar was originally announced as the Wonders of Xandar pavilion's gift shop on March 23, 2022 [1]. At this time, Imagineer Zach Riddley also revelaed the shop's entrance sign, and noted that the shop would be operated by the "Broker", a Xandarian who won a contract to set up shop in Epcot [1].

On May 27, 2022, the Treasures of Xandar officially opened along with the rest of the Wonders of Xandar pavilion. Located at the exit of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the shop sells Guardian's of the Galaxy and other Marvel merchandise. Among the merchandise sold inside Treasures of Xandar are a group of exclusive collections. These include:



Heroes of Xandar Collection- This collection was inspired by the concert merchandise of the 1980s. Imagining the Guardian's fo the Galaxy as rock stars, this et features all the gear and memorabilia that fans would collect on the group's fictional intergalactic tour.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Through the Eyes of Quill Collection- This collection was inspired by Peter Quill's childhood visit to EPCOT Center. The graphic design and retro silhouettes evoke the imagery of the decades past.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- Honorary Guardians Collection- This collection allows guests to become honorary Guardians of the Galaxy and proudly display their emblem.

Groot Through the Years Collection- This collection celebrates everyone's favorite tree-like creature Groot! Illustrating Groot's evolution from childhood to adulthood, this collection features toys, home decor and children's apparel.

Backstory [2][edit]

The official Treasures of Xandar backstory states that the store is operated by The Broker, a proud Xandarian, who’s been awarded the contract and brought part of his famous store here to EPCOT. Some of the merchandise pays tribute to Xandar and items acquired throughout the galaxy and, of course, some items celebrate The Heroes of Xandar, the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Commenting on the new shop, the Broker told Walt Disney Imagineering: “I am so delighted to bring my wares to the Wonders of Xandar pavilion. As a proud Xandarian, it gives me great pleasure to represent my planet to you Terrans and allow you to bring home a small bit of Xandar from my shop: Treasures of Xandar. I only hope that it brings our two cultures that much closer together.”
