The focal point of Adventureland was The Sunshine Pavilion sponsored by the Florida Citrus Growers from 1971 until 1986. The pavilion itself was made up of a Balinese pagoda (which marked the entrance of the Tropical Serenade) and the [[Sunshine Tree Terrace]], home of both the Citrus Swirl and the Florida Orange Grower's mascot the Orange Bird. The next change came to Adventureland on September 1, 1997 when the Tropical Serenade closed for an extensive refurbishment <ref> http://waltdatedworld.bravepages.com/id47.htm </ref>.
