The restaurant that is today known as Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies originally opened in 1972 as The Lunching Pad. Connected to the "Space Port" shop, The Lunching Pad sold sandwiches and salads. From 1979 until 1989 the restaurant was sponsored by Sun Giant.

The restaurant that is today known as Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies originally opened in 1972 as The Lunching Pad. Connected to the "Space Port" shop, The Lunching Pad sold sandwiches and salads. From 1979 until 1989 the restaurant was sponsored by Sun Giant.
In 1994 The Launching Pad was closed and relocated to the base of Rockettower Plaza (below the [[Astro Orbiter]]), as part of the larger Tomorrowland renovation. At this time a new restaurant, “Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies”, opened in the Lunching Pad's former location. Unlike The Lunching Pad, Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies features an ice cream and smoothie based menu. Since 1994, Auntie Gravity's has not seen any major changes.
