The Cool Ship is a quick service stand located in Tomorrowland.

Restaurant History

The Cool Ship opened in 1994 as a part of the New Tomorrowland. Located near the Tomorrowland Speedway, the Cool Ship is predominantly a refreshment stand. Adorning the top of the drink stand is a red space ship called “Thirst Rangers” (note: this is what also gives the restaurant its name). This ship is actually a Trimaxian Drone Ship from the 1986 Disney film "Flight of the Navigator" [1]. In fact, there were two different, identical ships used in Flight of the Navigator, and for a period of time guests could see the other ship on the Backlot Tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios [2]. Since the time the Cool Ship opened it has not seen any major changes, although in March of 2015 it began to sell turkey legs, which were previously found in Frontierland [3]. As of 2018, the Cool Ship now sells churros.
