The history of what eventually become Disney Junior- Live on Stage! began on June 7, 1999 with the creation of Bear in the Big Blue House: Live on Stage! <ref name= "All"> http://allears.net/tp/mgm/m_bear.htm </ref>. The live stage show was housed on Soundstage 5, which had previously been home to the Soundstage Restaurant and the Catwalk Bar <ref name= "All"/> <ref> http://www.studioscentral.com/column/why-its-there/brown-derby-elevator </ref>. Produced by the Jim Henson Company <ref name= "All"/>, Bear in the Big Blue House: Live on Stage! was a 15 minute stage show featuring characters from the popular children's television show Bear in the Big Blue House <ref name= "All"/>. Bear in the Big Blue House ran for roughly two years before being closed on August 4, 2001 and incorporated into a new titled Playhouse Disney- Live on Stage!<ref name= "All"/>. =

===Current Version: Disney Junior- Live on Stage!===The current version of Disney Junior Live on Stage! begins began with a cast member named Casey running on stage while the Disney Junior theme song playsplayed. Casey then asks asked all of the audience to yell out their names. While everyone is was yelling, Mickey Mouse himself yells yelled out his name, and then invites invited the audience to his clubhouse. As guests arrive arrived at the clubhouse, Mickey and Casey sing sang the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song, during which Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy appearappeared.

At the clubhouse Mickey informs informed guests that it's was Minnie's birthday. In order to help outwith the festivities, Daisy agrees agreed to hang up a "happy birthday” sign, Goofy agrees agreed to make a cake, and Donald says said that he can could write a happy birthday song. Donald, Goofy and Daisy then explain explained that it is going be difficult for them to accomplish their tasks. Mickey and the Casey agree agreed that the best way to solve your problems is to study stories. In order to hear some stories, Mickey and his friends call called on Tootles to give them tools to help them. The three items Tootles carriescarried, relate related to other Disney Junior shows: Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

The first tool that the gang uses is the used was he tiara from Sofia the First. As the Sofia the First theme song playsplayed, the scene shifts shifted to Sofia in front of her castle. Sofia is was attempting to make the flowers outside her castle sparkle for the Royal Ball, but she is was having no luck. Joined by Prince James and Princesses Amber, Sofia eventually decides decided to go find Mr. Cedric for help. Mr. Cedric then appears appeared on stage and begins began to sing about how he wants wanted to make a name for himself by impressing the King and making it snow. After Sofia asks asked for the wizards help, Mr. Cedric eventually agreesagreed. He tells told the princess that all she needs needed to do is was say the spell with confidence. Although Sofia wants wanted to do her spell, Mr. Cedric tells told her that she cannot because he needs needed to do his own spell to make it snow for the ball. Unfortunately, Mr. Cedric says said the spell too fast and his spell book disappearsdisappeared. As the book darts darted around the room, Sofia asks asked the audience to help her find it. After this accomplished, Mr. Cedric is was about to try his spell again, when the group hears heard the announcement that the Royal Guests are were arriving. Knowing that guests are were about to arrive, Mr. Cedric becomes became too nervous to perform the spell. After Sofia asks asked the audience’s help, everyone says said the spell together which makes made it begin to snow. Taking what she has learned, Sofia tries tried her spell again, this time "slow and steady". The Princess's spell works worked and the flowers outside the castle begin began to sparkle. Seeing her success, Sofia begins began to sing a song about how she can do anything when her friends are with her.

After hearing Sofia's story, Donald says said that he learned he should write a "sing together song " for a the party for that everyonecould help with. He then happily leaves left the scene.

The second tool that the gang uses is used was the stethoscope form Doc McStuffins. As the Doc McStuffins theme song playsplayed, the scene changes changed to Doc's bedroom. Here, she is was joined by Lamby, Chilly, Hallie and a Stuffie. Doc asks asked what everyone wants wanted to do, after which Lamby suggests suggested that everyone should dance with her. After Chilly says said "lets boogie" everyone starts started to dance. After the dance, Stuffie gets got out of control and knocks knocked over Lamby, causing her tutu to rip. Lamby then says said she knowns knew Stuffie didn't mean to rip the tutu, and she asks asked Dr. McStuffins to fix her. The whole group then sings sang the "Time for a Checkup " song, before Dr. McStuffins says said that she is was diagnosing Lamby with the "rippyies". Hallie then says said they need needed to look in the Big Book of Boo Boos. Doc agreesagreed, but also says said that she needs needed her magnifying glass. Stuffie tries tried to help by getting it, but instead drops dropped it, and causes caused bubbles to go everywhere. Doc notes noted that she cannot fix Lamby with the bubbles everywhere. Casey then encourages encouraged the audience to help pop all the bubbles, which they dodid. After the bubbles are were popped, Doc asks asked Lamby if she needs anything else before she startsstarted. Lamby agrees says said that she is was a little scared, and she could use a cuddle. Hallie then pops popped up with a magnifying glass and begins began to chant "you can do it" as and Doc fixes fixed Lamby. Lamby then sings sang a song about how she feels felt "So Much Better Now". Doc then tells told Lamby that, "when your friends cheer you on, there's nothing you can't do". Lamby then says said that now that she feels felt better, they should start dancing again.

After everyone dancesdanced, the Doc McStuffins characters leave left the stage and Goofy reappearsreappeared. Casey then asks asked Goofy what he learned from the story, and Goofy says said he is was going to get a friend to cheer him on as he makes made his bannercake.

Photo by Lauren Javier.]]As Goofy leavesleft, Daisy appears appeared on stage, upset because she hasn't been able to hang her banner. Casey then tells told Daisy that they need needed to hear another story, this time from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

After the Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme song endsended, the crew finds found out that Captain Hook has stolen their treasure chest. Jake uses used his spyglass, to try and find his chest. Jake eventually sees saw the treasure on a ship-wrecked beach. As the crew goes went to find their treasure, the scene shifts shifted to Captain Hook and Mr. Smee on the island. Hook attempts attempted to open the lock on the chest with his hook, but he cancouldn't do it. Jake and his crew are were then able to sneak up on Captain Hook by disguising themselves as bushes. In order to get Hook away from the chest, Jake decides decided that he needs needed the audience to pretend that they are were Tik-Tok the Crocodile. Their plan proves proved successful, and Jake, his crew, and the audience sing sang a short “Gold Doubloons” song, ending the scene.

After Jake and the Neverland Pirates leave left stage, Daisy, Goofy, Donald and Mickey appear appeared on screen. All of them were able to accomplish their tasks. Mickey then tells told everyone to yell surprise when Minnie enters entered the room. After Minnie thanks thanked everyone, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Daisy and Casey sing sang the song that Donald wrote for the occasion. Casey then tells told the audience to stand up and dance with them.
