Despite the fact that Asia did not open until the Spring of 1999 <ref> http://www.florida-project.com/images/guidemaps/dak/disneys-animal-kingdom-guidemap-1999-march-05.jpg </ref>, Flights of Wonder actually opened with the rest of Disney's Animal Kingdom on April 22, 1998 <ref name= "dis"> http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/animalkingdom/ak-asia-flights.htm </ref>. Performed in the Caravan Stage, Flights of Wonder was an educational bird show. Although the tricks and performers changed over the years, the basic premise of the show remained the same.
