Frozen Ever After is a dark ride attraction located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot.
Attraction History
Frozen Ever After was announced as a replacement for the Maelstrom attraction on September 12, 2014. At the time, Disney stated that the new Frozen based attraction would, "Take guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film". On October 5, 2014 Maelstrom closed in order to make way for the new attraction . Frozen Ever After's queue was built in the area that formally showed the Spirit of Norway film . Unlike its predecessor, Frozen Ever After has guests loading into their boats and unloading, in the same area . This allowed Imagineers to add a few additional feet to the Maelstrom track (which was reused) . Like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the Audio Animatronics in Frozen Ever After feature projection faces, giving them a wider range of emotions. When discussing the Animatronics, project manager Wyatt Winter claimed:
