==History==
The Golden Oak Outpost originally opened as Frontierland Fries in 1996. The stand was themed to look like a old west building1997. The restaurant's creation came out of an agreement between Disney and Mcdonalds McDonald's which allowed Mcdonalds McDonald's to sell their fries in select locations in Walt Disney World, with one of those locations being a new stand in Frontierland<ref> http://www.thefreelibrary.com/McDonald's+Brings+America's+Favorite+Fries+to+Walt+Disney+World+Resort-a019957464 </ref>. Frontierland Fries initially sold Mcdonalds McDonald's fries and chicken nuggets along with other refreshments. The , before McDonald's contract signed by the two lasted for ten years, and when it ran up in 2007, the . After both parties chose not to renew it. Following the end of the contract, all references to Mcdonalds McDonald's were gradually removed from Walt Disney World(obviously including Frontierland Fries) <ref name= Yesterland> http://www.yesterland.com/mcwdw.html </ref>.
Frontierland Fries closed on September 27, 2008<ref> https://www. In early 2009, mouseplanet.com/guide/154/Walt-Disney-World/Magic-Kingdom/Frontierland/ </ref>.
