==History==

A Guardians of the Galaxy themed attraction was originally announced on July 1t, 2017 as a replacement for [[Epcot]]'s Universe of Energy pavilion <ref name= "announcement"> https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2017/07/guardians-of-the-galaxy-ratatouille-attractions-coming-to-epcot/ </ref>. At the time, Disney stated that the new ride would be an E-ticket attraction based on the "rockin’ and action-packed world of Guardians of the Galaxy", that would open in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021 <ref name="announcement"/>.
