==Attraction History==
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is came about as a result of a collaboration between Walt Disney Company and George Lucas, the creator of the Indiana Jones franchise. Lucas had worked with Disney as early as 1985, creating the when he developed [[Star ToursCaptain EO]] and for [[Captain EOEPCOT Center]] attractions which opened in 1986. The attraction officially premiered on August 25, Lucas/ Disney partnership became more prominent in 1989, less that two months after with the opening creation of [[Star Tours]] and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! for Disney's newest park the Disney-MGM Studios]]. The Although not an opening day attraction, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular officially premiered on August 25, 1989. Since its opening, the attraction has remained essentially the same since it openedunchanged, but however in 2000 the stunt show was closed for a six months in 2000month refurbishment. This hiatus allowed Disney The closure was done in order to refurbish the sets, and ready the attraction for the addition implementation of Disney's Fastpass FASTPass. According to Disney spokesman Tom Dezern, the length of refurbishment was due to the fact that the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! had more special effects and mechanical parts then any other attractionon property. The attraction Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! reopened to guests on June 10, 2000. Tragically, Anislav Varbanov died on August 17, 2009 due to an injury from a rehearsal of the show. Varbanov (a relatively new member of the show) landed awkwardly on his neck doing a relatively routine tumble roll. Anislav and was rushed to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where he was pronounced dead. The next day, all performances of the show were cancelled in Varbanov's memory. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cleared Disney of any safety violations relating to the accident.
