==History==
The area that would one day house the Jungle Skipper Canteen was occupied by the Adventureland Veranda from 1971 until 1994. The location remained closed until 1998 when it briefly opened (albeit with a generic menu) during the refurbishment of nearby [[Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe]] <ref> http://www.omniluxe.net/wyw/advv.htm </ref>. After a long period of closure, during which the Veranda was used for special events and character meet and greets, the location briefly opened during spring break 2010 <ref> http://www.wdwradio.com/2010/03/the-adventureland-veranda-is-back-sort-of/ </ref>.
