Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie originally opened on October 1, 1982 as simply Boulangerie Patisserie <ref> https://d23.com/a-to-z/boulangerie-patisserie/ </ref>. Many of the delicious creations served in Boulangerie Patisserie were created by famed chef Gaston Lenôtre (who also was one of the three chefs who founded [[Les Chefs de Parisdes France]] <ref> http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2011/09/france_pavilion_part_two.html </ref>. Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie remained essentially unchanged until 2012, when the bakery closed for expansion.
