Changes

When Disney announced plans for the Fantasyland Expansion at the 2009 D23 Expo, Pete's Silly Sideshow was not included. Instead, the area that would eventually become Pete's Silly Sideshow was earmarked for Pixie Hollow, an area based on the Disney Fairies franchise<ref> http://fromscreentotheme.com/CloserLookPetesSillySideshow.aspx </ref>. By 2011 however plans for the expansion had changed. Due to the perception that New Fantasyland focused too much on princesses and other "feminine" characters<ref> http://worldtraveledfamily.com/disney/details-of-walt-disney-fantasyland-expansion-revealed/ </ref>, the land was reworked. At the D23 Expo in 2011 Disney unveiled their new Fantasyland Expansion plans<ref name= "inside">http://www.insidethemagic.net/2011/08/new-fantasyland-opening-timeline-more-details-for-disney-world-expansion-emerge-from-imagineer-interview/</ref>. In this version of New Fantasyland, an expanded Storybook Circus area took the place of Pixie Hollow, and among the attraction located in the new "subland" was Pete's Silly Sideshow, a circus themed meet and greet location<ref name= "inside"/>.

Pete's Silly Sideshow opened on December 6, 2012<ref> http://allears.net/tp/mk/petes-silly-sideshow.htm </ref>. The meet and greet attraction is housed in the former location of (half of) the Judges Tent in Mickey's Toontown Fair<ref> http://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html </ref>. The attraction is themed as a kind Ten-in-One sideshow (a sideshow where guests would see various acts performing different tricks) hosted by Pete. Pete's Silly Sideshow houses two lines. In one line guests queue to meet "the most charming of snake charmers"- The Astounding Donaldo (Donald Duck) and "circus stuntman extraordinaire"- The Great Goofini (Goofy). In the second line, guests wait to meet the "Siren of the Seine”- Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse) who is an expert poodle trainer, and the mysterious gypsy fortuneteller- Madame Daisy Fortuna.
