==History==
Although not ready for opening day, Sleepy Hollow Refreshments opened in 1971. The restaurant takes its inspiration from the 1949 Disney movie "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" <ref> http://disneyshawn.blogspot.com/2009/07/sleepy-hollow.html </ref>, which was in turn based on the novel "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washinton Irving. In fact, the architecture of Sleepy Hollow Refreshments was modeled after Washington Irving's residence, Sunnyside <ref> http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/07/the-sunnyside-of-sleepy-hollow/ </ref>. The only major change to the restaurant itself came in 1997, when the building was heavily renovated <ref> http://www.omniluxe.net/wyw/mkindex.htm </ref>.
