The Lunching Pad at Rockettower Plaza is a quick service dining location in [[Tomorrowland]]. ==History==The original incarnation of The Lunching Pad opened in 1972 across from the [[Grand Prix Raceway]]. This first incarnation of the Lunching Pad sold predominantly salads and sandwiches. At this time, the building that today houses The Lunching Pad was known as the Space Bar <ref> http://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2010/10/shakedown-at-magic-kingdom.html</ref>. Located at the base of the [[WEDWay PeopleMover]], the Space Bar sold refreshments and snacks <ref>httphttps://waltdatedworld.bravepages.com/id84.htm</ref>. The quick service restaurant was sponsored by Wise Foods from 1983 until 1993 <ref> http://www.omniluxe.net/wyw/mkindex.htm </ref>.
In 1994, as a part of the New Tomorrowland refurbishment, the Space Bar was closed. The original Lunching Pad was then moved to the Space Bar's former location and renamed The Lunching Pad at Rockettower Plaza <ref> http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide/257/Walt-Disney-World/Magic-Kingdom/Tomorrowland/The-Lunching-Pad-at-Rockettower-Plaza </ref>. Since The Lunching Pad’s location change, the restaurant has not seen any major changes.
