==History==
What today is known as the Plaza Restaurant was originally a part of the [[Plaza Ice Cream Parlor]] when the Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971 <ref name= "passport"> http://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2013/03/snapshot-plaza-ice-cream-boat-shuffle.html </ref>. From 1971 until 1976 the this restaurant featured an ice cream parlor and a seating area <ref name= "passport"/>. In 1977, the restaurant was divided in two, with the parlor and seating area each becoming their own seperate entities <ref name= "passport"/>. At this time, the seating area portion of the establishment was converted to a restaurant named "The Plaza Restaurant".
Since the Plaza Restaurant opened it has not seen any major changes.
==Description==
The Plaza Restaurant is themed as a turn of the century dining parlor with Art Nouveau decoration. Throughout the day, various Citizens of Main Street may make appearances inside the restaurant.
