Although the PeopleMover was not an opening day attraction, there were quickly plans to add the attraction to Disney World’s Tomorrowland. When the park opened in 1971, Tomorrowland was not yet complete, and as such there was a scarcity of attractions. To help finish the land, a version of the PeopleMover was constructed along with [[Space Mountain]]. The Disney World version of the attraction was named the WEDWay PeopleMover, and it opened on July 1, 1975.
