/* History */
When Disney released new concept art for Toy Story Land in April of 2016, there were some notable differences. Some of the more elaborate scenes on the Slinky Dog Dash had been cut. During this period it seems as if Al's Toy Barn and a Woody themed western area were cut from the plan <ref> https://wdwnt.com/2016/04/concept-art-cuts-made-to-toy-story-land-scenes-removed-from-slinky-dog-coaster/ </ref> <ref> Authors Note: This change can be seen by comparing the 2015 and 2016 concept art </ref>.
After a series of "soft openings" Toy Story Land officially opened to guests dedicated on June 29, 2018 <ref> http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/attractions/theme-park-rangers-blog/os-et-disney-toy-story-land-dedication-livestream-20180626-story.html </ref>. On hand for the event were Disney Chairman of Parks Bob Chapek and Tim Allen (who voices Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story Franchise) <ref> https://www.laughingplace.com/w/articles/2018/06/29/toy-story-land-bob-chapek-and-tim-allen-dedicate-the-new-disneys-hollywood-studios-land/ </ref>.
