Treasures of Xandar was originally announced as the Wonders of Xandar pavilion's gift shop on March 23, 2022 <ref name= "announcement"> https://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/guardians-of-the-galaxy/news/23mar2022-treasures-of-xandar-revealed-at-guardians-of-the-galaxy-cosmic-rewind.htm </ref>. At this time, Imagineer Zach Riddley also revelaed the shop's entrance sign, and noted that the shop would be operated by the "Broker", a Xandarian who won a contract to set up shop in Epcot <ref name= "announcement"/>.
On May 27, 2022, the Treasures of Xandar officially opened along with the rest of the [[Wonders of Xandar]] pavilion. Located at the exit of [[Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind]], the shop sells Guardian's of the Galaxy and other Marvel merchandise. Among the merchandise sold inside Treasures of Xandar are a group of exclusive collections. These include:
''Heroes of Xandar Collection''- This collection was inspired by the concert merchandise of the 1980s. Imagining the Guardian's fo the Galaxy as rock stars, this et features all the gear and memorabilia that fans would collect on the group's fictional intergalactic tour.
''Guardians of the Galaxy: Through the Eyes of Quill Collection''- This collection was inspired by Peter Quill's childhood visit to EPCOT Center. The graphic design and retro silhouettes evoke the imagery of the decades past.
''Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- Honorary Guardians Collection-'' This collection allows guests to become honorary Guardians of the Galaxy and proudly display thier emblem.
''Groot Through the Years Collection-'' This collection celebrates everyone's favorite tree-like creature Groot! Illustrating Groot's evolution from childhood to adulthood, this collection features toys, home decor and children's apparel.
