Trilo-Bites is a quick service restaurant in the DinoLand USA section of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

History

What is today known as Trilo-Bites originally opened on April 22, 1998 [1] as "Petrifries". When the quick service stand opened, it was sponsored by McDonald's, and featured a limited menu of McDonald's french fries and coke products. The creation of Petrifries was a result of strategic partnership between Disney and McDonald's which began in 1997 [2]. As a result of the agreement, Disney opened McDonald's locations inside all four of Walt Disney World's theme parks.

When Disney and McDonald's strategic agreement ended after 2007, the companies decided not to renew their partnership [2]. As a result, in 2008 all references to McDonald's were phased out of the theme parks. In late 2008, Petrifries closed for refurbishment [3]. The stand would reopen in December 2008 [4] with a new name, "Trilo-Bites", an a menu consisting of sliders, coke products and beer [2]. Since opening Trilo-Bites has not seen any major changes, although in 2016 it did receive a new menu.
