Journey Into Imagination With Figment is an attraction located in the [[Imagination!]] pavilion, in [[Epcot]]. ===Like many other Disneyland attractions, the Mark Twain Riverboat was selected to be duplicated for Walt Disney World. The Original Journey Into Imagination Attraction East Coast version of the attraction was renamed the Admiral Joe Fowler in tribute to the man who had helped to create Disneyland and Walt Disney World (1983-1998as well as the Riverboat attractions)<ref name===What would "FowlerDatedWorld"> https://waltdatedworld.com/id141.html</ref>. Although not quite ready for opening day, the Joe Fowler Riverboat opened one day be known as Journey Into Imaginationafter the park, began as an idea from Imagineer Tony Baxter. Baxter was tasked with working on an attraction for EPCOT Center's Kodak PavilionOctober 2, with 1971. After the Joe Fowler Riverboat opened, live entertainment could often be found on the ship’s deck (due to the only request being fact that they wanted something there were not that would be "very imaginative". Based many sights for guests to see on this request, Tony came up with the idea Rivers of a Dream Catcher (as it is unofficially calledAmerica); a machine which traveled through space collecting sparks of imagination<ref name=FowlerDatedWorld/>.

Piloting the Dream Catcher, would be DreamfinderSince Walt Disney World did not yet have enough attractions to meet demand, in 1973 a whimsical inventor who collected and reused imaginationsecond steamboat was built. The Dreamfinder character actually began Known as the host of an unbuilt attraction called Richard F. Irvine, the Gallery of Illusion. This attraction new steamboat was to be built in named after Richard Irvine who oversaw the never constructed Discovery Bay expansion planning and construction of DisneylandWalt Disney World. Besides their names, and it the only difference between the two steamboats was to be hosted by an investor named Professor Marvelthat Admiral Joe Fowler had two smokestacks, while the Richard F. In one of the scenes in this attraction, Professor Marvel showed how he domesticated dragons, even holding a baby Irvine only had one<ref name= Jack1/>. When work began on Journey Into Imaginationthey ran together, Captain Marvel became the inspiration for DreamfinderLiberty Square's riverboats were staggered in their departure times, with Joe Rhode serving as so that when one boat was circling Tom Sawyer Island the model for the characterother boat would be unloading and loading new guests.

The second character created for first major change to the Liberty Square Riverboats came in 1980. Disaster struck the Journey Into Imagination attraction, when the hull of the Admiral Joe Fowler was badly damaged while entering a purplebacklot, childlike dragon named Figmentdry dock <ref> http://www. Another source states however, that it was split while water was being drained from the dry dock. Either way, Disney decided that they would not repair the broken ship, and although the goad had predictably torn up exact location of the vegetation. Taking some inspiration from the Gallery of Illusion attraction, Figment was initially sketched by Disney artist Steve Kirk who turned in ==Ship Structure==The Liberty Belle Riverboat is a three deck working steamship that has a rough drawing maximum capacity of the character450 people <ref> http://www.wdwinfo. The new attraction was eventually given the blessing of both Kodak and DisneyTurning guest's attention port side, and Journey Into Imagination was closed on October 10, 1998. Following Further down the failure of Journey Into Your Imaginationriver, it was decided that once again the attraction needed to be significantly changedLiberty Belle reaches Cutthroat Corner. This time howeverSam tells riders that Cutthroat Corner, is the budget for the refurbishment was extremely limited. Besides just adding the purple dragon back into the attractionBefore returning to port in [[Liberty Square]], Disney also changed the tone of the ride significantly. ===Journey Into Imagination (1983-1999)=Changes in the Script==The narration aboard the Liberty Belle has grown and changed with the expansion of Frontierland. The original Journey Into Imagination attractionBefore 2005, was a dark ride hosted by burning cabin was seen beyond Fort Langhorn. Here guests would see the Dreamfinder cabin on fire, and his creation Figment. On a settler lying on the attraction guests ground with an arrow through him. The narration would explore various aspects comment on how the settler was a victim of Imaginationan Indian attack. Scenes on Journey Into Imagination includedLater, the Dreamport, an art scenewas changed so that the arrow was removed, a nightmare sceneand the narration commented that the settler had drank too much moonshine. The second version of Journey Into Imagination was *Sam Clemens the pilot on the Liberty Belle, is better known as Journey Into ''Your'' ImaginationAmerican writer Mark Twain. The focus Twain was known as a lover of steamships (specifically those on the ride was to allow guests to explore their own imaginationMississippi River) and did actually captain some steamships himself. After entering their ride vehicles, guests moved forward and stopped in front *Crates located on the banks of a large mirror. Here Frontierland have the Imagination Scanner would scan them, to determine what they were imaginingname "Tell City Tool Co. *The next room guests entered Leadsman was a crew member who would call out the Color depth of Sound room. Here large screens showed how imagination relates colors to sound. When the screen was red, guests would hear something cookingwater, when it was green they could hear rainforest sounds, and finally a metallic color allowed guests to hear a space ship blasting off. After exiting the color room, guests would enter the connection roomwater got shallow. HereOne fathom equals six feet, guests were surrounded by stars, which when connected properly could create images of animals. Like Journey Into ''Your'' Imagination, Journey Into Imagination With Figment begins with guests entering the Imagination Institute. Here, guests see the five departments of the institute: smell, sight, sound, taste, and touch. In the queue, guests can see potraits of the the Inventor of the Year award winners. They include, Dr. Nigel Channing, Wayne Szalinski (from the Honey, *"Well now I Shrunk series) always figure it is better to keep your mouth shut and Professor Philip Brainard (from the movie Flubber). Guests can also see the labs of the three scientists as they they wait ing line. After boarding their ride vehiclesappear stupid, Dr. Nigel Channing introduces himself, and welcomes guests then to the institute. He informs them that they will be taking a moving open house, which will show how the five senses affect Imagination. Figment then appears, and tells the doctor that he wants to go on the tour too. When Dr. Channing tells him he doesn't want the purple dragon out of his sight, Figment disappears it and guests begin their tourremove all doubt."

The first room *"It seems to me that the ride vehicles enter is the sound lab. The professor begins his demonstration by playing a series of tones. All of the suddenwhen I was younger, guests here a phone ringing, and Figment appears holding a phoneI could remember everything whether it happened or not. The doctor then declares that he has "completely lost my train of thought". Figment then replies that he found it, But as guests hear a train go roaring by. Figment then begins to sing a new verse I grow older I seem to remember only the song "One Little Sparkthings that never happened at all."

After exiting the sound lab*"Believe me when I tell you, guests enter truth is the sight labmost valuable thing we have, here Dr. Nigel Channing alerts guests to a large eye chart in the room. While guests read so I make sure I only use it, they can see the silhouette of Figment creeping across the screenwith economy. Soon, Figment gets rid of all the other letters, and he spells out the word "Figment". Figment says that people sight is a lot more fun when they use their imagnation instead of their eyes. He then sings another new verse of "One Little Spark"

The next room in the tour is the smell lab. As guests enter it, Figment and Dr. Nigel Channing argue about whether Imagination should be controlled or set free. Here, guests can see a giant butterfly which seems *"I believe we ought never to appear out of nowhere. Inside the smell roomdo wrong captain, Figment takes control and sets off a slot machineespecially when others are looking. The machine comes up with three skunks, leading guests to get sprayed. Different containers in the room hold other smells, including one for a rose. Figment then begins to sing "One Little Spark" again.

After this catastrophic, Dr. Channing decides to skip the touch and taste labs. He also questions whether or not to end the tour altogether.
