History and Description
The "Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen" (as it is officially called) was announced on August 15, 2015 at the D23 expo’s 60 years of the Jungle Cruise presentation. The new restaurant will be located in the space previously occupied by the Adventureland Veranda (near the Adventureland Bridge). The Jungle Skipper Canteen will have a Jungle Cruise theme and be staffed by Jungle Cruise Skippers, as it will be run by the same fictional company that operates the nearby Jungle Cruise. Open for both lunch and dinner, the Jungle Skipper Canteen will feature numerous unique dining rooms including the once secret meeting room of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, and another room themed as the skipper's mess hall.
Menu
Although the specifics of the menu are not currently known, Disney has stated that it will take inspiration from Africa, South America and Asia.
