Lotus Blossom Café
The Lotus Blossom Cafe is a counter service restaurant located in the China pavilion within Epcot.
History
The Lotus Blossom Cafe opened on September 24, 1985 [1]. When the restaurant opened, it was the first counter service dining location to be located within the China pavilion. The Lotus Blossom Cafe was originally designed with traditional Chinese theming [2]. The chairs and tables located within the restaurant appeared to be made out of bamboo, and the ordering area had a rural motif [2]. In 2007, the Lotus Blossom Cafe closed for a major refurbishment [3] http://blog.touringplans.com/2007/04/07/lotus-blossom-cafe-reopens/ </ref>. When the restaurant reopened, it featured a new modern look, giving guests the feeling they were in a cosmopolitan area of China [2]. At this time, the Lotus Blossom Cafe also got a slightly altered menu [3].
