==Attraction History==
Although currently The history of what would eventually be known as Listen to the longest running show Land began when Kraft announced that it would sponsor The Land pavilion in Disney's Animal Kingdom (a distinction it shares with unbuilt theme park [[It's Tough to be a BugEPCOT Center]]). Initially, Festival Disney had expanded the concept of the Lion King was originally planned as a temporary attraction"ecology and mineral pavilion" so that it focused on the many environments of the earth <ref name= "Martin"> http://www.martinsvids.net/?p=652 </ref>. When Imagineers designed Animal Kingdomthe original sponsor of the pavilion,Georgia Pacific (a logging company), ended its involvement, the plan called for Beastly Kingdomme to be one theme and content of the park’s main landspavilion once again changed <ref name= "Martin"/>. Due to budget constraints however In September 1978, Beastly Kingdom was pushed back Kraft agreed to a later time sponsor the pavilion, and a temporary land called Camp Minnie-Mickey was created in thus agriculture and food became The Land's focus. In order to draw showcase agriculture, Imagineers, led by Rolly Crump, created an open-top boat ride that would take guests through the earth's many habitats, while showing man's effect on them. During the initial creation of the attraction, Disney had planned to create the "Living Laboratories" where food from around the world would be found growing<ref name= "Sklar"> Sklar, Marty. Dream It! Do It!: My Half-century Creating Disney's Magic Kingdoms. Disney Editions, 2013. Print. </ref>, however this new landidea was later slightly modified. During the development of Listen to the Land, two major changes took place. The first was the fact that the temporary greenhouses planned for The Land pavilion were permanently incorporated into the attraction<ref name= "Martin"/> (the Living Laboratories concept was also utilized here). The second change was the addition of a canopy to the boats themselves. When Imagineers decided to add real rain effects to the attraction, the boats were given coverage <ref name= "Martin"/>. Listen to the Land opened with the rest of The Land pavilion on EPCOT Center’s opening day, October 1, 1982 <ref> http://thisdayindisneyhistory.homestead.com/epcotgrandopening.html </ref>.
At Listen to the same time Imagineers were working on Camp Minnie-Mickey, Disneyland’s "Lion King Celebration" parade was ending its three year runLand remained largely unchanged until Nestle assumed sponsorship of The Land in 1993. EventuallyOn September 27, it 1993, Listen to the Land was decided that Imagineers could rescue many closed for refurbishment <ref> http://thisdayindisneyhistory.homestead.com/Sep27.html </ref> (the rest of the puppets pavilion would also be systematically updated over the next year and floats from a half). Despite the closure of the land strategic partnership with Disney announced that Festival of the Lion King would be moving into a new theater called Harambe Theater located in a new expansion of the Africa section of the park<ref> http://www. ==Show Plot==The festival of On August 8, 2019, Living with the Lion King begins Land received a new digital film inside the Barn Theater <ref> https://wdwnt.com/2019/08/photos-video-living-with -the shows four hosts singing "Welcome to Our World". The four hosts are Kiume (meaning "masculine and strong" -land-boat-ride-debuts-new-digital-film-scene-in Swahili), Nakawa (meaning "good-looking"), Kibibi (meaning "princess"), and Zawadi (meaning "the gift")-land-pavilion-at-epcot/ </ref>. After the four hosts introduce themselvesLike its predecessor, they tell the audience that Simba and his guests will be there any minute, but first the hosts need the audiences' help. In order to greet Simba and his friends, the hosts decide to divide the audience into four groups, who will greet the animals by making animal noises. The first sound guests make is that of a warthog. To do thisnew film showcases cutting edge agricultural practices, one guest is chosen to lead the audience although it now focuses on ecological regions as they make tusks with their fingers and make a snorting noise. Next up is the lions. Another guest is chosen opposed to imitate a lion by putting their paws up and roaring. After the lions are done, it's time for the elephants. The section that is assigned elephants put their hands up and trumpet like an elephant. Finally the last group who are the giraffes, make a noise that sounds like a sheepspecific countries.
After everyone knows ==Attraction Plot=====Listen to the Land===Listen to the Land began with guests boarding their roles, they all make boats and being greeted by their animal noises togethertour guide. At this pointWhile they loaded, riders could hear the lights in the room dim and everyone is told to listen. As wind begins to howlattraction's theme song, various animals begin "Listen to dance on stage. After their ceremony, the Circle of Life begins to playLand" playing in the background. Simba, The first scene in the Lion King, then addresses guests, telling them that it is time for attraction was known as the big celebration"Symphony of Seed". At the beginning of the celebration, the song I Just Can't Wait to be King plays as This scene was a parade beginsstylistic look at how plants grow and spread. Timon, Pumbaa, Within the Tumble Monkeysscene, various animals and other dancers then parade through guests could see seeds being blown by the stage on floats. Finally, Simba appears atop a rock, watching over the proceedingswind while classical music played.
Following "I Just Can't Wait to be King"Moving out of the Symphony of the Seed scene, Timon takes center stage to perform Hakuna Matataguests entered a rainforest. At this point in the showattraction, guests would exit the dancers (including Timon Barn Theater and enter the Tumble Monkeys) all create a circle around research half of Listen to the stage, as a female singer sings “The Circle of Life”Land. Following Now touring the songpavilion's greenhouse, Simba tells the audience that it's time to for them to help boats would pass by various plants being grown in the celebration finale “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”a tropical atmosphere. The different groups then are divided back up and given different parts to singPlants located here included: papaya, sugar cane, rice, bananas, pineapple, with the giraffes and vanilla. The next section of the elephants singing the research center focused on "wing a wayaquaculture" and lions and , where fish farming took place. As guests passed by various exotic fish, the warthogs singing the high part. Timon then decides tour guide would inform them that he will sing many of the melody. The whole cast and audience then performs fish found here were served in restaurants throughout [[The Lion Sleeps Tonight togetherLand]].
After The final part of the song has finishedattraction showed new ways in which researchers at The Land were growing food. The first example that guests could see of these techniques were cotton and cucumbers that were shown growing in the desert. Further on, Timon tells guests could see crops growing vertically, which was done in order to save space. Other crops in the area were shown growing without soil, and the cast tour guide would tell guests that it's time researchers were using ladybugs as a pestilent (in order to take it homecut down on chemical use). They then perform a medley of the Lion King songs The last thing that had previously been featured guests could see in the show (Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel research facilities was future methods of agriculture. Ideas seen here included plans for growing food on the Love Tonightmoon, Be Prepared and I Just Can't Wait genetically altering crops to Be King)make them more nutritious and resistant. The attraction reopened later that year as Living with the Land which was similar to its predecessor except for a reprise few changes. These changes included: * The replacement of the Circle Symphony of LifeSeeds scene with a new storm scene. After the medleyIn this scene, the actors take a bow as Simba roarsnarrator tells guests that climate changes are sweeping over the land. Timon He then tells goes on to say that the audience they were storm is a new beginning for the best audience ever before pointing them towards land, and that the exitwater combined with sunlight leads to the growth of the planet.  * The rainforest scene was extended. * The finale of the attraction was changed so that it showed various humans standing in front of agriculture. The former finale which showcased futuristic agricultural methods was moved to the greenhouse section of the tour.  * The removal of the song "Listen to the Land" from the attraction. In 2006, Living with the Land was given an automatic narration as opposed to a live tour guide.
==Fun Facts and Trivia==
* The Simba puppet In order to add interest to Living with the Land, it was decided to add a mural featuring famous quotes about the environment to the attraction's queue. During the development of the mural, Marty Sklar suggested using quotes from ordinary children. In order to accomplish this goal, Disney reached out to various children's environmental organizations. Eventually, Saving Earth agreed advertise the mural in its newsletter, and the company received 800 different submissions. Of these submissions, the Festival number of quotes was narrowed to the Lion King is 12 feet tall10 which were chosen <ref name= "jack"/>.
* 136 African inspired costumes are used The address on the mailbox in farmhouse scene has the number 1982 in it. This is a reference to the showyear that EPCOT Center opened <ref name= "jack"/>.
