The Roundup Rodeo BBQ was initially announced on April 30, 2019, as the first major expansion to [[Disney 's Hollywood Studio's]] [[Toy Story Land]] <ref> https://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/toy-story-land/news/30apr2019-new-table-service-restaurant-coming-to-toy-story-land-at-disneys-hollywood-studios.htm </ref>. At this time, Disney announced that the new restaurant would surround guests with rodeo activities, a Western town, and even a toy train playset <ref name= "blog"> https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/04/new-roundup-rodeo-bbq-restaurant-coming-to-toy-story-land-at-disneys-hollywood-studios/ </ref>. Toy Story characters including Jessie, Trixie and Bo Peep were also teased as being included in the new restaurant. When describing the new experience Disney stated:
