The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a hub and spoke attraction located in [[Adventureland]]. The ride is based on the 1992 Disney movie Aladdin, and it is similar to [[Dumbo the Flying Elephant]] in [[Fantasyland]].The Magic Carpets opened May 23, 2001 in the newly created Agrabah Bazaar (an expansion of Adventureland) <ref> http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/the-magic-carpets-of-aladdin.htm </ref>.

According to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin's backstory, the Genie bottle that serves as the centerpiece of the attraction was discovered when the well that had previously been located in the center of Adventureland was dug up at the turn of this century <ref> Tomorrowland: Walt Disney World Walking Tour by Lou Mongello </ref>.

When guests enter the loading area they are able to choose from 16 magic carpets. Riders are also given the ability to choose whether they want to sit in the front row or the back. Front row passengers can control the height of the carpet, while back row passengers can tilt the carpet to the left or right <ref> http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/magickingdom/advaladdin.htm </ref>. Once seated, riders are instructed how to fly their carpets before being lifted into the air. The magic carpets fly in circles around the Genie's lamp (which is decorated with characters from Disney's Aladdin) while music from the movie plays. Guests should also watch out for a large camel that “spits” water at the carpets. After 90 seconds the carpets descend back to the loading area and guests exit the ride.
  ==Attraction History=Spitting Camels=== The Astro Orbiter opened it Walt Disney World on November 28, 1974 under the name of Star Jets. Star Jets was a replica of the Disneyland attraction Rocket Jets. In fact the only differences between the There are two attractions (besides spitting camels located near the name) was that the Walt Disney World vehicles were larger, and had a flatter back end with a larger tail. The attraction is a wheel and spoke attraction that allows guests to board rocket ships, and fly above Tomorrowland. The rockets would fly around a replica Magic Carpets of the Saturn V space ship, and the Star Jets was considered the focal point of TomorrowlandAladdin. The Star Jets were located above the Rockettower Plaza which houses the [[WEDway People Mover]].  In 1994, in conjunction with the "New Tommorrowland", Star Jets was given a complete makeover. A stylized iron tower and various "planets", replaced the Saturn V Rocket as the attractions focal point.
