History
The creation of Spice Road Table was announced on April 1, 2013 [1]. At this time, it was revealed that the new waterfront restaurant would feature "various small plates and refreshments inspired by the cuisine of the Mediterranean"[1]. Shortly after the announcement, construction began in earnest on the new dining location [2]. Finally, on January 11, 2014 Spice Road Table had its official opening [3]. Although the restaurant has not seen any major changes, beginning December 2, 2014, Spice Road table began accepting reservations, due to its low attendance [4]. At this time the restaurant also began accepting the Disney Dining Plan, and it received a new menu that focused on entree sized meals [5].

Fun Facts and Trivia
- According to Disney, Spice Road Table's facade is accented in icy shades of blue from the famous “Blue City” of Chefchaouen in Morocco’s Rif Mountains [6]
- Light fixtures, tilework, tapestries and art representing Morocco’s indigenous Berber tribes are featured throughout the restaurant [6].
- Many of the seats, both outside and inside Spice Road Table, afford guests a view of Illuminations.
