Club Cool is a Coca-Cola store in Innoventions West at Epcot
History
The shopping location that is currently known as Club Cool originally opened as Ice Station Cool in July 1998 [1]. Ice Station Cool was themed as an arctic research station and sponsored by Coca-Cola. Guests would enter the store through a snowy cave, before passing through an ice tunnel with real snow [2]. During their entrance into the main area, guests would also see a frozen caveman holding a bottle of coke [2]. Once inside the shop, guests could sample various Coca-Cola flavors from around the world[2].
In June 2005, Ice Station Cool closed for refurbishment. At this time, the location was completely redone, eventually reopening on as Club Cool on November 18, 2005 [3]. This new Coca-Cola sponsored location still allows guests to sample Coca-Cola flavors from around the world, however it is now has a modern urban theme.
In 2013, Club Cool got entirely new flavors for guests to sample. Although all the other flavors were replaced at this time, the popular Beverly remained [4].
In July 2019, Disney confirmed that Club Cool would be closing on September 8, 2019 [5]. The company later clarified that the store would eventually be returning in some capacity, although a new location was not given [6].
On April 9, 2021, Disney announced that Club Cool would be opening in its new location (next to the Creations Shop in World Celebration) in the Summer of 2021 [7]. According to Disney, the new location will "celebrate Coca-Cola in a fresh new way, while keeping the fan-favorite experience that invites you to explore tasty drinks from around the world. This space will also have some new magic to bring the global experience of Coca-Cola to life for you" [7].
