The Frontierland Shootin' Arcade is an attraction located in [[Frontierland]].
==History and Attraction Plot==
The Swiss Family Treehouse is an Frontierland Shootin' Arcade opened with the park on October 1, 1971, as the Frontier Shootin' Gallery. The attraction located recreates the 1850 shootout on Boot Hill in Tombstone Arizona <Ref name="Disney"> https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/frontierland-shootin-arcade/ </ref>, in the form of an arcade shooting gallery. In the gallery, guests use authentic .54 caliber Hawkins buffalo rifles to hit various targets <ref> http://www.wdwradio.com/2007/09/frontierland-shootin-arcade/ </ref>. There are three different distances that guests can shoot at. The first, the foreground of the gallery, is themed to look like a graveyard. ==Attraction History==The Swiss Family Treehouse opened with Adventureland in 1971. The Treehouse is walk-through attraction based on the 1960 Disney movie The Swiss Family Robinson. Although *An owl located inside the large tree looks authentic it is actually made up of steel, concrete and Stucco. At 60 feet tall and 90 feet in diameter, the Swiss Family Treehouse is one of the tallest structures in the Magic Kingdom. Since it's opening in 1971, the Treehouse has not gone through any significant changes.
==Attraction Plot==The story of the Swiss Family Treehouse begins at the base of the tree and continues as guests climb up. The walkways that guests climb as the assened into the Treehouse are made from the Swallow's deck. *Tombstones, with various names on them

Also at the bottom of the tree is a pulley system which brings water up to the Treehouse in bamboo cups. Once the water reaches the various rooms in the Treehouse, bamboo pipes carry the water into water barrels. *Cacti

Photo credit: Disney]]As guests begin to climb The middle section of the Treehousegallery features the town of Tombstone (including a bank, the first room they will encounter is the family living room. The room is located a hotel and a jail) with targets on them. To the right side of the walkwaytown, guests can also shoot an ore car coming out of a large mine. In 1982, the lead balls that guests shot out of the rifles were replaced with infra-red technology. The reason for the change was twofold. Besides safety concerns, cost was also a factor as cast members would have to re-paint the targets almost on a nightly basis (due to the lead pellets chipping the paint) <ref> http://disney-pal.com/MagicKingdom/frontierland_shootin_arcade.htm </ref>. The only other major change to the attraction came on September 26, 1984 when it was renamed the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade <ref> http://thisdayindisneyhistory.homestead.com/Sep26.html </ref>. In June 2011, the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade's exterior was refurbished. ===Parent's Room=Trivia==As guests continue to ascend up the tree the next room they encounter is the parents bedroom. The room is located on the right side of the walkway. This is the bedroom for Franz and his wife. Items note in the room * There are the large bed, and the colorful curtains. If guests look closely they will see that there is also Brandy hidden 97 targets in the raftersgallery <ref name="Disney"/>. ===Jungle Lookout===Across from * The Shootin' Arcade is one of the parents bedroom, guests can take will encounter few attractions in the Jungle LookoutMagic Kingdom that has an additional coast. From * There is actually a walkway for cast members located between the Jungle Lookout guests can see out into Tomorrowland as well as see Cinderella's Castlegraveyard and Tombstone.There is also a second walkway between Tombstone and the background.

Also featured in the study is a desk and a table. Located on the surface are two important books. The first is the Bible, which is located on the desk. The second is an encyclopedia which is on the table. Both of these books were salvaged from the sunken ship. Other items in the study include{{#ev:youtube|Ox50FU7Cmvs|420}}

When guests reach the bottom of the Treehouse, they will see the families kitchen. A plaque outside the kitchen reads:

*This Swiss Family Robinson was one of three operating attractions in Adventureland on opening day.
*Outside of the Treehouse in Adventureland you can find other items salvaged from the Swallow.
*The Swiss Family Treehouse has 116 steps, 9 limbs, 1,400 branches and 300,000 polyethylene leaves!
*The only organic part of the tree is the Spanish Moss, which covers the leaves and branches.
*The Swiss Family Treehouse was constructed to look like a Banyan Tree, which are local to Florida.
*The official Latin name given by Disney to the tree is Disneyodendron eximus
