The Hollywood Brown Derby is a table service restaurant in the Hollywood Boulevard section of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

History
Although their were four Brown Derby restaurants in the Los Angeles, the one that is found in Disney's Hollywood Studios is a recreation of the famous establishment on Vine Street. Opening in 1929, the Vine Street Brown Derby was a hot spot for movie stars during Hollywood's Golden Age [1]. Despite the fact that the original Brown Derby had closed in 1985, Disney Imagineers decided that they wanted to recreate the Hollywood landmark for the Disney-MGM Studios. In 1987 Disney agreed to a licensing deal with Brown Derby for construction in their new Orlando park [1]. In 1990 a further deal was reached for locations to be built in Euro-Disney, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland, although these were never constructed[1].
When the Disney-MGM Studios opened on May 1, 1989, the Brown Derby was operational [2]. Throughout the park's history, the restaurant has served as its signature dining option. Since the Hollywood Brown Derby opened it has not seen any major changes.

Fun Facts and Trivia
- Booth #5 where Clark Gable proposed to Carole Lombard has been replicated in the Disney's Hollywood Studios version of the restaurant and can be requested [1]
- At 11:30 the restaurant holds a ribbon cutting and photo shoot for the guests with the first reservations of the day. They also give plastic brown derby hats.
- There is a large book with autographs of the stars that have visited the restaurant over the years, located in the lobby[1].
- Like its original counterpart in Hollywood, Disney's version of the Brown Derby has caricatures on the walls. According to Disney, while many of these are reproductions, the colored ones are actually from the original restaurant[1].
