==Pavilion History==
The United Kingdom pavilion opened with the rest of World Showcase on October 1, 1982. When the pavilion opened, it featured one restaurant (the Rose & Crown Pub) and six shops: The Tea Caddy, the Queen's Table, the Biscuit Barrel, His Lordship, Pringle of Scotland and The Toy Solider. Although the pavilion was not home to an attraction, the original plans for the United Kingdom called for a Victorian building to be built in the pavilions rear. The building (which was going to be modeled after London’s lost Crystal Palace) would have housed a live comedy show. A description of the unbuilt attraction was given in the 1982 book “Walt Disney’s EPCOT: Creating the New World of Tomorrow”:
Innoventions opened in 1994, replacing {{Quotation|"One side of the outdated CommuniCore pavilion. Like it's predecessor, Innoventions was divided into East and West buildings, with a total area of 100,000 square feet. Disney CEO Michael Eisner had said in the early 1990's thatremains open, "People need a place to experience the new future, site of a permanent World's Fair where they can test and try show still being created by the products are changing our worldImagineers.". Innoventions Early in Epcot the planning there was built with this idea in mind. Like CommuniCore, Innoventions would feature technology based exhibits. However, instead talk of the subtle and understated tone of CommuniCore, Innoventions was more loud and bold. Another noticeable difference between the two pavilions was the color scheme. Innoventions was given a futuristic metallic blue scheme. The pavilion featured exhibits by IBMtour presentation, Sega, and General Motors (among others). Since Innoventions was at least partially inspired by a consumer electronics show, the pavilion was less organized then CommuniCore had been. Large advertisements were also more likely to be found housed in the more busy Innoventionsan old English railroad station. When Innoventions openedThe idea metamorphosed into an Elizabethan-type dinner theater, from which it also featured two old stores (the Centorium and Field Trips) and the new Ice Station Cool Store (which had free Coca Cola samples from around the world)evolved into a Victorian music hall. Innovations was also home That’s where it now stands – if a genius can be found to successfully bowdlerize the Paste Pizza Resturante, the Electric Umbrella, rough-and the Fountainview Expresso & Bakery-tumble British vaudeville style for a family audience.[[Image"|Walt Disney’s EPCOT:Innoventions90s.jpg|thumb|Inside Innoventions as it appeared in Creating the 1990s]]New World of Tomorrow}}
The first change to the United Kingdom pavilion came in 1986, when the Biscuit Barrel became the Country Manor. Although the shop’s name was changed, its merchandise remained essentially the same. Then, in the late 1980s the Country Manor was renamed the Magic of Wales, and His Lordship was renamed Lords and Ladies. Subsequently, in 1995 Lords and Ladies was renamed The Crown and Crest.
The first next major change in the United Kingdom pavilion came to Innoventions in 19971999, when Innoventions West Harry Ramsden Fish & Chips House was refurbishedbuilt. Although most of the exhibits changed when it reopened, some were updated and returned. In 1999, The new restaurant was a counter service restaurant which (as its name suggested) specialized in preparation for the upcoming Millennium Celebration, all of Innoventions (both East fish and West) was closed for refurbishmentchips. Beside just renovating Since the exhibitsmillennium, the 1999 refurbishment also gave there have been two major alternations to the pavilion more order. All but two of In the entrances and exits were closed offearly 2000’s, and a path Pringle of Scotland was created for guests to follow. Following renamed the refurbishment, Innoventions was given the subtitle "The road to tomorrow" and a new mascot Tom Morrow 2Sportsman Shoppe.0. FinallyThen in 2006, the Centorium store, which had been open since the pavilion Harry Ramsden Fish & Chips House was CommuniCore, was expanded and renamed Mouse Gears. The other store located in the pavilion, Field Trips, also closed and became The Art of Disney StoreYorkshire County Fish Shop.
Between 2000 and 2007, Innoventions only underwent minor changes. In 2000, the Pasta Pizza Resturante closed and In 2001, a kiosk named Discover the Stories Behind the Magic. The new interactive exhibit was built to tie in with the 100 Years of Magic Celebration, and thus it was removed in 2002. Other entrances and exits were also reopened during this time period, opening up Innoventions. In 2005, the Ice Station Cool closed, and later reopened as Club Cool. Club Cool was still sponsored by Coca Cola, however the exterior of the building was changed. ==Pavilion Layout==
The final major renovation came In order to Innoventions show guests as much of the United Kingdom as possible, Imagineers made sure that each structure in 2007. The the United Kingdom pavilion was closed and updated, and the subtitle "The road to tomorrow" was droppedrepresents a different era. The color scheme center of the pavilion was returned to a powder blue one, similar to that of CommuniCoreis known as Britannia Square. Following Modeled after the different town squares found in the renovationUK, Tom Morrow 2Britannia Square is where guests can find various shops and dining establishments including the Rose & Crown.0 was removed. An kiosk celebrating Epcot's 25 anniversary opened, although it closed The Rose & Crown serves as both a year later. In 2009restaurant and a pub, The Sum of All Thrills opened in Innoventions East. The exhibit allows where guests to design their own thrill ride, and then enter can get a motion simulator and ride it. The Sum of All Thrill is the first "ride" ever located in Innoventionstraditional British meal.
==Exhibits History==Across from the Rose & Crown, guests can visit The Tea Caddy. This shop was inspired by the childhood home of Anne Hathaway (William Shakespeare’s wife). Inside, guests can purchase teas, coffees, and hot chocolates made by Twinnings. Across from The Tea Caddy, guests can find another shop, The Queen’s Table. The store features Elizabethan architecture typical of the 1600s, and inside guests can buy tea, tea sets, and dinnerware. Behind the Queen’s Table is an English garden which features various “homes” that look out into the foliage. These homes were inspired by the houses in Disney’s Marry Poppins, and guests can often find meet and greet characters such as Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) and Marry Poppins here.
===Innoventions East (1994-1999)===The back of the United Kingdom pavilion is themed to look like the residential section of a town set in the 1800s. This area is known as Tudor Land and is home to the Lords and Ladies shop. This boutique sells clothes and fragrances for both men and women. Another section of the town “Upper Regency” is home of various houses with late Georgian architecture. Within the houses is the pavilion’s Kidcot station, and Winnie the Pooh sometimes makes appearances inside. The houses themselves look out into a replica of Hyde Park which features a hedge maze based on the Somerleyton Hall Maze.
