Takumi-Tei is a table service restaurant found within the Japan pavilion at Epcot.

History and Description[edit]

Takumi-Tei opened in the Japan pavilion on July 5, 2019 [1]. Operated by Mitsukoshi USA [2], the table service restaurant was meant to give the pavilion a signature dining option. Takumi-Tei features five dining rooms, each of which was inspired by a natural element (water, wood, earth, stone and washi paper) [3]. True to the restaurant's name, which means "house of the artisan" in Japanese, each of Takumi-Tei's dining rooms feature handcrafted works of art which honor the each room's namesake element. Since opening, Takumi-Tei had not seen any major changes.

  • The entrance way at Takumi-Tei represents a passageway between Epcot and Japan [3].
